The Palm Springs Air Museum houses one of the nation's largest collection of World War II flying aircraft displayed in modern, well lighted, air-conditioned and clean hangars. Our Buddy Rodgers Theater shows daily documentaries about aviation in the military with an emphasis on World War II. In addition to planes and historic artifacts, the museum is host to a library of 6300 volumes primarily related to aviation and American military history.
Complimenting our extensive displays, the museum sponsors Saturday commemorative educational programs for our visitors and members. These Saturday programs often include demonstration flights of our aircraft. On those days, members and visitors can participate in the sights and sounds of World War II or later conflicts as these programs dictate. See Events above for more information. |

The Palm Springs Air Museum remembers the commitment and sacrifices of the Greatest Generation by memorializing the 65th Anniversary of the end World War II. In a series of historical programs beginning with an Open House on November 7, the Museum will present this series beginning with the Road to War and finishing with the Japanese surrender on the Missouri. Presented by those who were there, these programs will commence in November and continue on until late February. They will feature, among other things, live presentations from those that were actually there to witness these historical events.
